EDUC 3513 - Fundamentals of Math 1 and 2 for Pre-K6 Teachers
Credits: 3
This course provides prospective teachers with an introduction to PreK-6 math standards and curriculum. In addition, prospective teachers will strengthen their understanding of mathematical content while learning research-informed teaching practices that support student learning of Number and Operations in elementary school. Prospective teachers will strengthen their understanding of mathematical content while learning research-informed teaching practices that support student learning of Algebraic Thinking, Geometry, Measurement, and Data in elementary school. Emphasis is placed on providing the student with opportunities to prepare and present supervised lessons in an actual elementary school.
Prerequisites: Admission to TIP.
