BIOL 2103 - Biostatistics Credits: 3 Students will learn the basics of statistical analysis commonly used in general biology, medicine, and public health studies. These analytical techniques include confidence intervals, t-tests, correlations, simple linear regression, chi-square tests, and ANOVA. Students will also obtain practical skills using a free open-source programming language, R. By the end of this course, students will be able to; 1) identify statistical techniques required for a given data-set using logical reasoning, 2) write computer code for simple statistical tests, and 3) generate inferences and interpret the data using statistical justifications.
Prerequisites: MATH 1043 - College Algebra. Corequisite(s): N/A
