PHIL 3053 - Virtue Ethics Credits: 3 An introduction to virtue ethics, as exemplified in the thought of Plato, Aristotle, St. Augustine, and St. Thomas; includes dialogue with other ethical traditions, especially deontological and utilitarian approaches, among others. Topics considered include the nature of human happiness, the moral and intellectual virtues, free choice and moral responsibility, justice, friendship, and forming sound ethical judgments.
