PHIL 4083 - Theology through Philosophy Credits: 3 An introduction to theology through philosophical texts about theology and theological texts in the tradition, in three sections: (1) historical topics (e.g., discussing heresies both ancient and modern, early church councils, as well as grade and the transformation of the world through Christ’s incarnation); (2) theological points about God, belief, ethics and philosophy as the exploration of natural necessities and theology as thought about faith and revelation which expands reason to new heights; (3) the Sacraments and the role of virtue in the Christian life.
