PHIL 1023 - Logic Credits: 3 Introduction to the study of the methods and principles used to distinguish correct from incorrect reasoning. Includes the study of deductive and inductive reasoning, Aristotelian formal logic, common fallacies, and basic symbolic logic. Attention is given to the problem of dealing with arguments as they are expressed in everyday language.
