Newman graduates will benefit from understanding the ethics of science, technology, and society and how they intersect with the biomedical sciences. The certificate will allow them to consider, analyze, and evaluate the effects - promising or perilous - of contemporary technologies in their fields in light of current scientific practice and insights from history, philosophy, or theology.
