SPAN 1125 - Elementary Spanish 2 Abroad Credits: 5 Co-taught with Newman faculty and cooperating language school faculty, the second half of an immersion-based, intensive introduction to Spanish. Taught primarily in the target language, four skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening comprehension will be developed, with grammar covering the preterit, the imperfect, present progressive, the informal imperative and some practice of the present subjunctive. Short compositions, a final exam, a modified Oral Proficiency Interview and short presentation will demonstrate high-novice proficiency or higher.
